Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I recently joined in at the parish and signed up to be a youth group leader. It's been so much fun with the high school kids.

At our training, it was discussed that we will be making an effort to get each youth a birthday card.

I won a Stampin Up! card-making workshop that is soon to expire, but I decided that making hand made cards for the youth would be a wonderful thing and extended the invite to include all our youth leaders and support members.

The Youth Ministry coordinator just sent out the invitations to all the members. Looking at the addresses... FATHER WAS INVITED!!! He is the head of the youth groups, and I never really thought about it, I always work with him at the parish, but hadn't considered that he would be invited as well.

I hadn't anticipated that, it makes me a little nervous, well very much so. I've never had any clergy member over, not even Sr. who I am very close with.   The reality is it is unlikely he can make it. But it would be fantastic if he could come. We've done crafts at the youth group and he is a riot to work with on things. His laughter is infectious, he really lightens the atmosphere.

It will be fine We've recently gone to never having the priest over to having a different priest nearly every week, I no longer run around madly deep cleaning and driving my family insane, a regular clean is all I do now
