I know this isn't as critical and many requests here but.. dh and my oldest son are going hunting tomorrow and the few days after.. they've tried before and my dh gets such limited time and neither has had a successful hunt for larger game (son has deer tags) and it would be such a good thing for them to be successful sooner rather than later and a deer would be so much easier to learn to deal with than the elk tags dh has for later in the year.. though we could really use both. Grocery prices are awful.

Praying too and for the safety of our hunters! Fall turkey season started this week here (though bow season has been going a while), but nothing has been brought home yet! I put turkey on the menu for the end of the week, so my turkey hunters better get busy.  I really thought we still had some left from spring season. Vension is my least favorite, but we will be eating all we can this year. We were blessed with a free grinder to ground up some meat. So happy we won't have to take it to the locker this year! This was certainly an answered prayer!

Praying for a wonderful hunt. Praying that they both fill their tags. Praying for their safety. Praying they have a fulfilling time away together. The bonds of hunters, between friends and family, is a wonderful thing.

Praying and so very jealous that you all have the possibility of some meat coming in with those hunters.
I miss when we lived in MN and dh would go hunting and get venison.
Praying for all of the hunters out there trying to provide for their families.

The boys are always about the whole large rack of antlers thing.. I told my son that the picture I want the MOST from his first deer/elk/whatever is him standing in front of my freezer, door open, showing it filled with meat 
hmmm I guess I should clean out/defrost the freezer soon huh?

We are in the same boat. I have 3 out trying to get one and can't seem to get anything. I know that we could really use the meat for the winter. Praying for all hunters that God will bless them and keep them safe and provide all He sees fit.

yeah day 3 here and they haven't even seen any.. in an area that just before hunting season they were sighted ALL THE TIME.. dh said they haven't even heard any gun shots so no one is seeing anything. 
Yeah I think all those deer know what's up and just move into town during hunting season

My oldest just suggested we pray for the intercession of St. Hubert, the patron saint of hunters. That's exactly what we'll do for your ds & dh.
