I do not get to visit here much as of late, but I come today with a prayer request. Yesterday we bought a hamster for our ds (his previous hamster passed away in June) and to surprise him we set up the cage and put the hamster in it last night with a note telling our son how excited the hamster was to be his new pet, how it was looking forward to being named, etc. When my son found the note and cage this morning, the hamster was gone!!!  We have not been successful in finding it thus far. Would you please pray to St. Anthony that we might find the little critter, preferably soon?

I've been praying for you. We went through this last year, after getting hamsters for my ds Natural History class with MODG. The hamsters came from a pet store 5 hours away (we're kind of remote) and one of them was gone within an hour! 
Found him the next day in the crawl space under the house, fortunately before the cat found him!
He continued to be MIA at various points throughout the year...

THANK YOU!!! Not 15 minutes ago something moved across the floor while dh and I were watching a movie, and it was the hamster! I had given it up as lost for we'd seen nothing of it since it disappeared. It is back in the cage, and the cage is in a plastic tote, so hopefully double containment will be enough to keep it in place!

That is good news and a funny story (now)...those hamsters are so sneaky... (we have our own very funny first day of owning a hampster escape story).
