I was to begin a series of IV immune globulins yesterday and it did not go well. Two sticks to start the IV and then a fever reduced the dose I could handle, delaying more IVs until this Thursday, Friday and Monday. Please pray that the IV starts are better and the IVs themselves go smoothly.
I hesitate to write this because I hate to be pitied but I figure it's good for gaining humility. I've had a rare autoimmune disease (dermatomyositis) for most of my adult life. I've been having these IVs for over a year. Thank you, wonderful ladies!

 Oh Victoria! I so understand offering those sticks. I'm praying htat you won't have quite so much to offer. We need to find a patron of veins or phlebotomists or something...

Victoria, you are so awesome! I can vouch for the fact that you are not one to desire pity. Quite the opposite.
