I can't think of any books off hand, but there is some nice DVD's available that might be an idea.

Though she is young...maybe the Mary Fabyan Windeatt St Maria Goretti Colouring Book? From memory the story line in these books are meatier than normal colouring books...

The most famous book is "In Garments All Red" but I can't find my copy to see if it is appropriate for a 9 year old.
