Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK, ladies, can you help me brainstorm?

I'm the coordinator for our AHG troop's first-ever little day camp next week, and in firming up all the fine details here, I realize that I could really use some inspiration for group/trust-building/community/ice-breaker-type games.

Some I already know and have used:

amoeba tag (when you're tagged, you join hands with "it," until you have a big "amoeba" of people engulfing all the others)

human knot (my girls love this one)

ha-ha game (lie in a human chain with one person's head on the previous person's stomach, then starting with the first person, say, "Ha," "Ha Ha," "Ha Ha Ha," and so on, without laughing.

Trust walk

Sea of Lava (people are on a rug or some other surface denoting a desert island or shipwreck; using only a small number of stepping stones or planks, they have to work together to cross the sea of burning lava to safety)

I used to know TONS of games like this and have managed to forget a lot of them. Suggestions VERY welcome here! Thank you!

Sally
