Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Well, with some trepidation, we've decided to take our gang plus one friend to Cedar Point in Ohio. Any advice? I know we will take a cooler of food for lunch. I read that they have picnic tables outside the park. We have to be pretty strict about what we let the kids eat in these places so we try to avoid most of the stuff you can buy in the park. Any other words of wisdom for while we are there? Just fyi, my oldest is 18, his friend is 17 and the rest of my kids are 13, 11, 8, 4 and 1.

I love Cedar Point! I grew up going and finally got to take my kids when we were visiting family a couple years ago.
Like most parks, when we were there, you couldn't take bags on most rides; everything goes in a bin. We took turns and the waiting group held the backpack with the camera and water and sunscreen...all very necessary. I don't know how adventurous all y'all are, but there are some fun rides your two little ones can't ride. The 4 and 8 year old might like the kiddie park (my then 7 year old could ride several real, big kid rollercoasters but not all) and everyone can get out of the heat and see a show in the afternoon. Tickets are most affordable on-line. Have fun!
