Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

From one of my favorite blogs was a mention of this magazine.

Jane Austen Knits, Summer 2012

These look so wonderful!!! Doing the Tasha Tudor Shawl has me wanting to make more shawls.

I meant to ask, has anyone seen it? Can you give a review? Maybe of the 2011 one?

Hey Jen,
I haven't seen the mag. but I have drooled over it on Ravelry. If you go to their pattern section and put in the name of the mag it will list all of the patterns.

Here is the link to where I am talking about!

All of the patterns look awesome! I really trying to be good with knitting and not buying more than I can knit. Not to mention I have a few dish cloth patterns that I need to get published first!

Does that help? Maybe we should form a 4Real group over on Ravelry!!!!!

Oh, that helps SOOO much, Betsy! Thanks for the help. I see Summer 2011 has this hooded capelet, a design I was looking for....

Thanks again!

I like that idea of 4Real Ravelry, although I know I'll only be intermittent.

My middle dd has both the 2011 and 2012 issues. (Can you tell she is a serious knitter?) She loves them, but she hasn't yet made anything as she is still working on her Arwen shawl and a few other projects.

In Christ,
Deborah

That magazine is beautiful! I *think* it is at Barnes & Noble, if you wanted to peruse it before purchasing ... But please don't hold me to that! I just thought I remembered seeing it there, after I saw it online

I will be taking a shawl studio at my yarn shop this summer (after my sock class!) I am making the Sothia for my mom. I am excited! Shawls are so lovely!!

I also like the idea of a 4Real Ravelry group!

Happy Knitting!

Oh, that's so nice you're taking a class! Local needlecraft shops can be such a blessing! I took knitting a few times from my local shop. The owner just now retired and is in the process of selling her shop, but she promises she'll be around. She has been so wonderful and helpful and supportive. Basically I've known her over 20 years, back when I was single.

I'll check my local B&N. It's always nice to have it in hand before buying.

What beautiful things! I would love to be able to knit like that.
I'm so happy to see this post... my eye candy and smile for the day.

I just returned the book to the library lots of lovely designs but unfortunately not a good time to knit right now. Planning to check it out again when we have more time. dd was recently given a spinning wheel and she is currently spinning pure alpaca. I think it will make a lovely soft shawl Annie

I have seen them both at my fiber shop. Leafed through them both several times. I love to look at them. I feel like the knitting, in general, is more advanced which I don't have the time or concentration for. But, if nothing else they are lovely to look at the magazines!
