I've now gone through two cords for the Sony Baby Call monitor. I don't have a baby anymore, but our house is constructed so that I don't hear the boys unless I have a monitor in one of their rooms. Plus I'm a sound sleeper at times.

I hate putting money into a new monitor, but a replacement cord is over half the cost of a nice monitor.

So I'm in the market for a new one...and I need it to be long-lasting. I'm thinking I need a Digital, DECT technology would be a plus, but I don't want to pay a fortune.

Being out of the baby market for a while, I'd love to hear any feedback. It doesn't even need to be a "baby" monitor, but it seems I can't find anything else.

Sigh. Our house has an intercom system, which would solve my problem because I could put their rooms on listen mode (we had this growing up in Louisiana). But the system doesn't seem to work.

Hmmmm...now that I think about it, maybe I should just invest in repairing or upgrading that system....
