Recently at the vet my ds struck up a conversation with an elderly couple, asking all about their cat and telling them all about ours, as well as our dog.
I could tell they were enjoying listening to him ramble. After he told them all the details about our dog's problems (14 yrs old, needs his teeth cleaned, etc), the man looked at him and said:
"Well, young man, I know what your problem isn't. Your talker ain't broken."
I thought I'd fall off my seat trying not to laugh.  Fortunately my ds took it all in stride... and kept talking.
Ah, the life of an extrovert!
