Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Due to tightening the budget...my dh really wants to know if Enchanted Learning is worth it.

I had always thought that I could go and find things on my own...but that is time consuming...and there is something nice about having everything ready for you. I think the selection is rather good...but I don't know if it is something I would "forget" to use...and just be smitten with it in the short term?

Experiences, please?

I think the site is really worthwhile, and we love using it here, Maggie. I've used the free version of the site, and I've subscribed before (subscriptions last for a year).

The content is basically the same, whether you subscribe or not. There might be a few resources on the subscriber site that aren't available on the free side, but I think the lion's share is available on both sides. The only thing the subscriber feature gets you is ad-free pages, which are very nice, but not necessary either. If my budget was super tight, NOT subscribing would probably be an area in which I'd try to save money.

I agree with Jen. There is plenty on the free site to keep littles happily busy for quite some time.

I used this our first year of homeschooling. We enjoyed it and used it a lot, but it wasn't in the budget the next year. To be honest I didn't miss it once and forgot all about it until you said something. I think it is a resource that is useful when the budget allows, but I wouldn't give up something else or get a job to afford it.

I've subscribed 2 yrs but not currently subscribed. I used it mainly for DS 11 that needed LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of repetition in work so I usu. just went to it and typed in what he needed help with...nouns, verbs, fractions, place value...things like that. Also, I liked the various webs to help him organize his thoughts. Although he still needs lots of repetition, I haven't found the need to use it as much probably b/c of his grade level now and haven't renewed. I did think it was worthwhile as a go to source when I knew exactly what I was looking for.

I guess I found quite a lot of pages I wanted that I could NOT get with subscription.
