Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone tried the Duggar family's laundry detergent recipe? If yes, did it work?

I haven't done so myself but i know some ladies who have. Generally they like it, though some have found that after a time clothes seem dingy. Others don't have that problem. Likely an issue of different types of water, some soaps/detergents just work better with different types of water, some need more or less soap too.

I'd be careful to keep a close eye on your cost.. making your own can save a lot or not enough to balance out the work involved.

I've been making the Duggar's laundry soap recipe for about a year now, and it's a great money saver! We do have well-water though, and as Jodie said, after a while, the clothes do seem dingy. So on certain loads, like nice clothes, I do use Tide. Kids' play clothes, towels, jeans, I don't waste the Tide on.
Older dc help out with making the soap--dd8 shreds the soap and cooks it down, and ds9 puts it all into jugs after it sets up.
