Well if you like caverns Luray is only about 45 min from Christendom.

I could recommend some local wineries if your interested.

There is always Shenandoah National Park. Lots of hiking trails and beautiful views. There is an entrance in Front Royal.

OOh, I forgot to mention one of the best places in town to get burgers and frozen custard Spelunkers. Two thumbs up
Way better than other fast food places.
