Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was hoping you could help me brainstorm. Our Parish is compiling a Parish handbook of groups available and I'm trying to write a descriptor for a group I've started and choose 'a name.'

I started this group with another hsing mum, thus far it has been her 7 children and 8 of mine. However I've been feeling led to open it to the wider parish community, (not that I think we will be inundated ). I was thinking in our Parish there is nothing happening for younger families (there are no younger families) but if someone came, or moved into, then there would be something to invite them too. Reality is the mums coming would be ones with little ones, not mums with school children as this is on a school day.

I'd love your input,

I have thus far:

Parents Group
Children of all ages welcome
A time for friendship and fellowship
Craft and Catechetical Activities for children, with emphasis on the Liturgical Year
Meet _____ of the Month
___pm – ___pm

You could pick a patron and just go with that, like St. John Bosco Society for Families

Though, it occurs to me that you might want to make the meetings somewhat separate from the "group." For instance, the Parish Life committee might sponsor doughnuts after mass, but in attending the social, it is not implied that you are "joining" that committee or group.

So, instead of naming the group you might consider naming the event.

We had something similar...weren't very inspiring when it came to names. We called ourselves "Saint Group" and "Liturgical Year co-op" depending on the year.

What about something to do with family and domestic church or...Families Living the Liturgical Year (FLLY for short ) or Feast Day Fun Days or...Feast Day Group... sigh. I'm not too creative.
