My oldest is reading the "The Imitation of Christ" right now. By accident I found a lovely children's version, which we are using as read-aloud during Lent. It's called "The Little Follower of Jesus" by Alphonse Maria Grussi. You can find it free online here and here.

I tried to search the archives for it, but the search function didn't work for me tonight. So in case somebody has already posted this, I do apologize.
