Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our kitchen has a small desk built-in. As the DSs get older, they're pawing through it more and more. It has one drawer w/ a child lock, but since the older ones know how to open it, and the younger one can get his paw into the narrow opening, they pretty much have access to the whole thing. I hardly use the random membership cards, envelopes, telephone books, & boxes of checks (starting to worry about them getting into those especially). A lot of what I need quickly ends up above in a smaller cabinet so that they don't break it (stapler, push-pins)

If you had a desk w/:
-three long but narrow, short drawers.
-two long but narrow tall drawers.

What would you put in there that was kid friendly but not clutter friendly?
They each can fit 8.5x11 paper, but not on it's side (no hanging-files).
-Maybe one of the short drawers could have just a single ream of white paper?
-If I did colored construction paper in one of the other drawers, but they could only see the top page, is that inviting too much mess?
-Am I inviting trouble if I start making washable markers, crayons, & colored pencils at their disposal? Until now, they've all been out of reach. Our walls have minimal extra, "art". Does an almost 2yo get worse before they get trustworthy--can you believe I can't really remember that ?
-What about glue sticks & tape?
