My husband has found some good deals on tp, papertowels, diapers and laundry det. He has to check it every time to make sure it's still a good buy. Has anyone found any good deals on foods?

Oh geez, Jennifer...
I use Amazon for a great many groceries now. My older kids joke about it all the time.
You can subscribe to many deal blogs to find out about them. "Saving Naturally" is one I use.
I get Kashi Go Lean Crunch by the case (one of the few cereals I buy anymore), Skippy Natural peanut butter (good deal last month), organic black beans, gluten free mixes, etc. All these are subscribe and save deals. I've ordered a case of tuna before, too, and natural lollipops, baked apple chips, cliff Kid zbars...

JoAnna.......what a GREAT site! I looked at it very quick and I LOVE it! Too bad we don't live closer, we could split cases from Amazon. I will sit down tonight and take a serious look at Saving Naturally and Amazon. BTW...I'm preparing for a baby, and Go Lean Crunch is on my cerial list!

I should get back on this for some things. We were getting tea for quite some time (Herbal Medicinals) but we had a lull in tea-drinking, so we're using up what we have before turning the subscription back on -- the nice thing about the subscribe and save is that you select how often; and even then, you can say "no" when it comes time --- and you still get the savings.
We used to get Seventh Generation laundry and spray cleaner - until the removed it :( That was great while it lasted! Now we make our own laundry soap and spray cleaners entirely so even if they started it again, I won't subscribe.
I personally just have to be careful - only get what we would typically consume in a given time-period, so that we aren't inadvertently spending more just for the convenience

That's how I feel about cutting coupons. I can never find ones that are for what we eat. That's why I like the site JoAnna sent. I can actually use some of them!

I don't mean to hijack the post...but how do you "make" your own cleaners...that really cleans?
I'd love to be able to make something that disinfects, cleans, and is organic.

I try to keep things very, very simple.
So I just have the following:
1) basic soap recipe (using sunflower oil at this time, but I could use any oils)
-----modified for a moisturizing soap (use olive and almond oils instead)
-----modified for dish soap (coconut oil; use vinegar in the rinsing)
-----laundry soap: start with basic soap, grate it, add corresponding amounts of borax and washing soda - could use it that way, but I add water, boil, re-harden, and grate to make a more uniform laundry soap.
Then my spray cleaner is a combination of water, vinegar, baking soda, washing soda, borax and a drop of dish-soap (or a bit of grated dish-soap). I use this to clean EVERYTHING - counters, floors, toilets, etc. (I'll use extra vinegar in a separate spray bottle for further disinfectant).
If you're really wanting a stronger disinfectant, a drop or two of tea tree oil with the spray cleaner works great. I typically add no oils, but citrus works great too.
I'm all-natural for toothpaste and deodorant too (there's a post here about that already). Saves loads of money, all-natural, never run out (it's all food-based) and it's nothing fancy, whether you want powder or cream versions.
