Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Do you have a waffle iron you love!    I have one that only makes one and it's not the best. So, if you have one that works great and makes 2-4 at a time, please share!

We really like our UNO brand iron we bought at Williams Sonoma years ago for our first anniversary. Its gotten pretty regular use for more than seven years

Ours is farm animals , but they make "plain" ones in squares or circles.

I like to have appliances that do more than one thing. I have a George Forman grill with waffle plates and it works well. It makes 2 bigger than normal waffles so I can usually keep up with demand if I get a head start. Then I also use the grill for grilled sandwiches and quick lunches.

I've had my eye on this one from Amazon. It has great reviews, and seems to make a big and chunky waffle, as opposed to the small ones with no real pockets in it that our previous waffle iron made. This one makes pretty big waffles, with four clear sections to each waffle, so you could cut it into 4 sections? I keep hoping to get this someday, I love a great big waffle, with nice big pockets, or whatever you'd call them.

What a great point! I don't like waffles when they are thin. I'm also noticing that many are difficult to clean. This one does seem to have great reviews. I will keep this in the table in the hopes that there is one that makes more at a time. Thank you!

Mine makes four Belgian waffles (deeper pockets). A barn, a cow, a pig, and a chicken

I found this one on ebay, but it doesn't look like they make it anymore.

I'm happy with mine, but I don't have experience with any other. I think it is likely a good product because Williams Sonoma is picky about appliances they carry since they offer a warranty on them independent of the manufacturers warranty.

Two other options to consider:

This one flips over but is not the traditional bulky thing like at hotels... plus it's inexpensive.

I'm thinking of buying this one though. It makes 2 full size belgian waffles at a time plus does the gourmet flippy thing! Yes, it's a space hog, but we take breakfast seriously here. Plus everyone says it's fast! With 5 kids and a ravenous hard-working man, I need quick! You can find it for $25 cheaper at Sam's Club than at Amazon...

Ummmmm, it's red. And it has interchangable plates- one set for waffles, one for grilled sandwiches and another for grilling meats. It was about $40. It says Lean, mean grilling machine on it. If I can find the instructions I'll get a model for you.

We have this Black and Decker. It makes regular waffles (no deep pockets) and the plates flip for pressing sandwiches. It has worked great for 20 years but we don't make waffles often.

What size are those individual waffles?

I saw this one, but also saw the comments about it being difficult to keep clean. Have either of you had this problem?

The waffles are about 4x4 and no, we haven't had any problems keeping it clean. At least compared to our previous waffle maker, this one is actually easier to clean so, I guess its all relative and I believe our earlier one was a Proctor Silex round type. This Cuisinart one cooks the waffles so much faster, we barely turn around and they're done.
