Ladies, please pray right now for the people in Blacksburg, Virginia. My daughter (a junior at VT) just called and told me there has been another shooting on campus. So far, she has heard that a police officer and possibly a student have been shot. The campus is on lock-down and all students have been instructed to remain inside in locked rooms. Pray for those injured and for God's holy angels to protect all of the students and others on the campus.

The police officer is dead. Someone has surrendered, but supposedly does not fit the description of the person who shot the officer. They are afraid that more than one shooter may be involved.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

We live about 45 minutes from there and I know several students there. I am definitely offering up my prayers. I don't understand why these things seem to happen so often there. It is so sad. Hopefully they will find the shooter and campus life can resume.

No, Erin, she's down at VT, but in an off-campus apartment. She's actually with a friend right now in a basement apartment with all the doors locked and the shades drawn. The University has a system to notify the students via Twitter if there is any danger; she'll stay locked in until the send out the information that the shooter has been apprehended.
Thank you for your prayers, ladies! It is very frightening for these students to have to live through another shooting.
