Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking for advice or help from anyone that has ever used/worn a chef coat.

I would like to get my dh one for Christmas. He is not a chef by any means, but he is a messy cook and I would like to get something to protect his clothes better.

I know that I could sew a standard apron, but I thought that maybe a chef coat would protect his arms too, which might be better.

Origionally I thought that I would sew one for him from this McCalls pattern. But, I trying to be realistic with the time that I have for sewing this Christmas!

Since I have never seen or worn a chef coat I started to think that maybe these would be a pain to take on and off frequently. Does anyone have any input on this?

My next option was maybe a Sushi Chef Coat which looks like it just has a tie for the coat.

Does anyone have any opinions?

Thanks!!!!

P.S. There is a 20% off sale until the 27th at Culinary Classics so I hope to order by then.

Betsy,

My dh got a chef's coat. It's heavy and hot and he never wore it except for the taking pictures. He doesn't like getting too warm.
