I could use prayers and cheer leading this week, as we're attempting Potty-training Lockdown again with the twins. Dd pretty much gets it already, just needs the reinforcement of using the potty more frequently to remind her what to do and not to go in her pants. Ds on the other hand, gets it VERY SLIGHTLY, so he's going to be the harder one this week.
I am determined to stick it through this time. The thread last week was just the encouragement and reminders of how it goes that I needed to feel encouraged to try this again. I have dreaded this whole thing, with 2 of them to do this time around, and it makes it even more difficult with the fact that I'm in the throws of 1st Trimester woes, feeling pretty lousy most of the time! I just keep trying to remember that even though the nausea and general ickiness/weakness are bad, at least I'm not throwing up!
Thank you for letting me get this out, and for any and all prayers and encouragement!

I just finished cheering Lara in her potty lockdown success and I'm here to cheer you on to victory, Pilgrim!!!!!
So....1st trimester ickies is DEFINITELY NOT OPTIMUM! But if you're willing to gut it out, it CAN BE DONE! You'll need something extra super special for your evening reward. What can you hold down? Or maybe dh could pick up a special magazine for you at the store and you could reward yourself with a little happy magazine reading in the evening? (Oooh! Wouldn't an autumn Country Living be delish?) Or a new/used book? Something exciting and just a touch decadent!!!! What will be your carrot to dangle in front of yourself to get through your days???
And are you clearing your schedule COMPLETELY for potty lockdown?
Setting up your wet drop zone?
Got some easy meals in the freezer or have arranged take-out with dh for the week?
Can we help you get your arsenal lined up before you get rolling, Pilgrim???
The girls of the fabulously gosh and thrillingly stylish potty-lockdown-society are HERE FOR YOU!!!!

Thank you, dear friend!
Well, I do have plans for simple meals, and dh has agreed to help with meal throughout the week. The first day wasn't too bad. I think dd has got it pretty much! And ds is showing little glimmers, so I have hope that he will get it this time. Where is the cart wheel emoticon?
I don't have much outside of the ordinary for a carrot to dangle, buuuttt my best reward is the evening with dh once all the children are in bed. I hold that out almost daily to just make it through these awful 1st trimester days!
I DO have one benefit of that our business is here at home, so if I really need the help or a short break, dh can drop things and help out, and he can be here to make a meal if I need.
Thank you for the encouragement and any and all prayers, like you said it is not optimum, but it IS doable. (just miserable , but thanks to the Faith we have the ability and know-how to offer things up!)

I'm here to cheer you on!
You can do it! Just think of it as only TODAY, I can do this TODAY, I don't need to worry about tomorrow. Don't project into the future (oh, this will go on forever!), keep your thoughts only on TODAY!
I'm so happy that we are out of diapers! We are still working on going #2, but I'll take these few accidents over changing diapers all day long!

Thank you again, each and every one of you! Things are going so much better than I expected!
DD has had NO ACCIDENTS since we began yesterday , and today ds only had ONE accident. You know, I never would have thought this would be the case, but the twins have had the runs and it has actually made them learning to go #2 in the potty easier, it has really reinforced this aspect of pottying for them.
I can really feel your prayers, things are going so well, I am so grateful!
Thank you, and please pray that they will continue with this success.

Finally getting a chance to update! I can now say, it's done!!!!!! They both are fully potty trained, VERY few accidents now, going both no. 1 and no. 2 on the potty all the time, and actually telling us when they need to go!!!!
We are just over the moon thrilled to have them fully trained, it is beautiful! Thank you dear friends for all your prayers and encouragement, I know the prayers played a huge part in the boy twin doing so well, as he was pretty happy-go-lucky-clueless at the start.
God gave us a bit of an early Christmas present this year!
Now we just have to deal with a little more frequent stops for the potty. We used to carry a little potty chair around, but now that we had to upgrade to a full size van and have more room, one of these is our happy companion when we travel anywhere further than 30 mins., away, which includes church on Sundays. The dynamic duo usually both have to go when we're on the road now, but with this thing in the back, it's much faster and easier to just stop, pop them out, they go, and then back in their seats and we're on the road.
