Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just purchased the Holy Mass Faith Folder for my 2nd grader for FHC prep and my K'er to tag along. I'd like to print up some Holy Mass coloring pages for my 3 year old boys to color and put in their own folder. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of just getting The Holy Mass Coloring Book, but it's double sided so I'd have to pick which side to use, plus I think its a bit much detail for my little boys. They do love to color, though.

(Oh, and I'd love to have them in an Atrium, but the closest one is about 45 minutes away or more, and I have enough on my plate... hoping to make some hands on things too at some point.)

I appreciate any thoughts!

For myself, I don't like to bring coloring things to do during Mass, just outside of Mass. We have our little Church bag which has a variety of books about Mass and our faith that the boys can use.

Catholic Icing's New Mass Booklet

My Prayer Book is quite a favorite for my little ones. It's small size and sweet illustrations just make it the one they return to over and over again.

St. Joseph books, First Books for Little Catholics (some reprinted by Neumann Press), and some other Mass books from Neumann Press. We like Inos Biffi around the liturgical Year.

For the little ones who can't read, I love bringing in both the old and new Mass missals.

And another missal for the New translation, Hillside is carrying a nice one.

Thanks, Jennifer. Those are all great. I've seen a few. I actually don't bring coloring things for my children either, and was thinking of this for outside of Mass. I'm using the Faith Folder for the 2nd graders FHC prep at home, and I think my 5.5 year old girl can get the gist of it. Its way too much for my little ones, though, and I'm thinking of things they can color while we are cutting and assembling the Faith folder during school time.

I was thinking of something like the coloring pages you have on your blog for the Rosary, but for the Mass. Something I can print and they can color, cut if necessary, and glue in a folder. Have you seen anything like that?

I hadn't seen My Prayer book though, so I'll have to look at that for use during Mass. Thanks for the suggestions!

Re: coloring pages.

I can't find anything that good that I have for the rosary. I love all the Father Francis Coloring books, but his Mass one is for older children.

Some online picks:

That resource Site. That site is hard to navigate, at least to me, though.

I'm thinking of various sites that have coloring pages related to the gospel, but not really the Mass. Wish I had more. I saw the Daughters of St. Paul have one, but I don't really like it.

Thank you both! That looks like a good start. I might shrink them when I print to fit into a folder format better..thinking.. Maybe some montessori cards/pictures of the places in the church and various holy objects. I could pick and choose from these: Faith Montessori Cards

What do you think?

Just found the thread I was searching for. Emily kindly suggested Coloring Book of the Mass which we have enjoyed.

Wanted to suggest this Sacramental lesson.

I would have to agree, there seems to be a couple of main sites and a blog, all different formats and ways of labelling. Great resources but normally I go nuts.

There are so many fun folds that you could use if you shrink the coloring pages and print the cards. You could glue the Mass coloring pages in the correct order into an accordion book, a layered look book, or a small "shaped" booklet (whole booklet is the shape of the altar, a chalice, or whatever). The holy object cards could be stored in a "shaped" pocket or envelope.
