While shopping at Target this afternoon, I came across purple mini lights (100 purple lights 25ft long) for $3.00 in the Halloween section.

They are similiar to these, but less in price more lights! I noticed the purple lights in the Christmas section were about $15.

I have told this story before, but I'll tell it again because, well, I like it.

A few years ago, after we'd moved from our previous Navy duty station back to our house south of Baltimore, I found purple mini lights at Michael's. Even better, they weren't made in China! I bought two sets and drove home dreaming of Advent lights around my door and window. How liturgical!

I unpacked my Michael's bag and pulled out the Advent lights, all purply and penitential...and my daughter said,



"Cool! Ravens lights!"
