Here is an neat visual experiment for your dc for the Feast of the Holy Rosary:

You will need: a piece of string or twine, a string of beads and a rosary.

Hold up the plain string and the string of beads. Tell your children they have to climb from the floor up to the ceiling today, and they can pick which (string or beads) they would rather have as their "rope".

(My dc picked the string of beads, and then proceeded to show me how much easier it was for Lego man to climb up the beads.)

Then tell your dc that Blessed Mary has given us a special rope to help us climb up to heaven. Show the rosary. (then it is fun to see the expressions on the kids' faces as they mull this over).
