Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anybody know of a Catholic place for young men (20's) that would provide housing and guidance/counseling as they try to find their place in the world? Thank you.

I have heard of Opus Dei providing houses for men only and women only. Of course, you have to apply to live there. The men's house in Cambridge, MA is called Elmbrook and is supposed to be quite good. If not there, I would call and ask them for ideas.

You could also contact the Brotherhood of Hope in Somerville, MA as one of their charisma is "men's ministry", and they may know if some places around the country. You can easily google this order. They are Wonderful and truly faithful.

Good luck!

I should add that Elmbrook is not a "shelter". It is full of upstanding young gentlemen some if whom are students, some young professionals. But spiritual direction is given, and there is more order than one would have living on their own..but I would not categorize it as a shelter...just good, solid young men trying to figure out God's Will.

If you are looking more for a shelter type setting, contact the Brotherhood of Hope in MAssachusetts and the Franciscan Friars of the renewal in the Bronx, NY. They should be able to direct you.

This is *exactly* what I was hoping to find, if it includes housing. Thank you for the leads!
