Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Okay you East Coasters--what would you dress your kids in for a trip to Boston and NY at the end of this month. I was just going to pack pants to keep packing light--but it looks like NY can still be warmish then--any thougths? Thanks for any suggestions.

I would pack mostly pants with maybe 1-2 pairs of shorts. Late September is usually light jacket or sweatshirt weather, but there can be some warm days. Usually the temp is in the 60s.

It can get rainy in the fall, so make sure to plan for that, too.

Have a great trip!

Layers. I agree with Monica. I'd still pack short sleeves and then layer with sweatshirts or light jackets.

It's such a mixed bag -- so it means bringing more clothes, but it's nice to have the options.

i don't live out there but we were going to take a trip that would have us in warm and cool weather.

My plan was to take "summer" clothes and suppliment with jeans in the evenings and a fleece jacket. And emergency ponchos just in case.

So that means only the extra pants and jacket each. And I was going to go with the longer shorts or capri's.. that are often enough even in cool weather with a jacket throw on top. not middle of summer lightest weight clothes.
