When the kids are still asleep, and it's quiet 
If I start my day with a Rosary, I feel I've talked too much. If I sit and meditate on the crucifix, I feel I haven't done enough.
What and how do you pray, if you don't mind me asking?

Have you thought about reading a passage of Scripture (or maybe the daily readings) and then sitting and meditating on those? I am currently reading this in the mornings and again right before bed. I absolutely love it. I was a little concerned about the cost (although it is eligible for the 4 for 3 promotion), but it has really been a great thing for me. It helps you go deeper into your relationship with God and has convinced me that I need to read more of Teresa of Avila's writings. The book is published by Notre Dame press and they have a few other saints you could read instead. You could also read one of those daily lives of the saints books.

I get Magnificat. It has morning readings, the Mass readings and a meditation, evening prayers, and information about the saint of the day. I've been getting it almost 5 years now and I love it.

I try to get to the daily readings. I had been doing the gospel out of the Navarre bible and loved it. I learned so much.
Lately, it has been the morning offering in front of the bathroom mirror while I brush my teeth. 
I'll get back to it soon.

I use the Morning Prayers as written in the St. Andrew Daily Missal. I like using this Missal because it has everything I need right there - the Morning Prayers, an examination of conscience, evening prayers, AND....because we attend the Extraordinary rite (TLM) and follow the old calendar along with the new calendar, I love that in the Missal, I can just flip right to the Feast of the Day (according to the old calendar). That makes it so nice for me - since using this missal as my Morning Prayer anchor, I also feel as if I'm praying more with the liturgical year than I was before. This Missal stands above other missals not because it is a traditional Missal, for I sincerely do believe that it could be used and enjoyed regardless of whether you attend the Novus Ordo or the Extraordinary rite, but because of the depth of liturgical history offered within its covers! I learn so much about the liturgical year through the context of my daily prayers and reading a bit about the day's feast and that saint.
My morning prayers usually consist of me reading through my prayers in the St. Andrew Missal and then flipping to the current place in the year to read through the Mass for today's particular feast (if there is one). I also really enjoy reading the beautiful prayers of the Mass for the day: the Gospel, the Collect, the Secrets. Often, I will reserve one of these if they are particularly beautiful and reflect a little on it, sharing it with the children, as the kids eat breakfast. I may also include a beautiful prayer from the day's Mass as a child's copywork.
I have a couple of other prayer books that I enjoy:
Motherlove - has long been a favorite prayerbook of mine. It lists some specific Morning prayers and evening prayers. I love the prayers written for specific needs which are found in this book.
A Year With the Saints: A Virtue for Every Month of the Year - simple, easy short readings. Each month focuses on one virtue and uses writings from various saints to teach and illustrate that virtue. I usually save these and read it as a little spiritual refresher during the day...swish a load of laundry...read for 5 minutes on Humility!
In Conversation With God - this set (which is sort of expensive, but after having it for over 10 years now, I can say it's worth it!) has been such a spiritual stronghold for me for years now. There are 7 books in the set, and each day's readings consist of 3 short divisions. The readings challenge me to live my faith every day, right where I am, as a wife and a mother. I love this set and am so grateful my mom got it for me all those years ago. I try to read my In Conversation series in the morning, but it often works out to be a quiet time afternoon reading/meditation for me.
Divine Intimacy - is a classic and another FANTASTIC source for morning prayers and meditations. In one book, there are meditations and prayers for every day of the liturgical year (note that it does follow the older calendar, not the new calendar). The readings are short. This book can easily work its way in to a 10 minute quiet time during the day, or it would be very well placed as part of your morning prayer routine.
Hope this helps, Nique! I'm praying for you as you seek to freshen your morning prayer routine. Can I confess that some days I do good to get out an Our Father, a Hail Mary, Glory Be, Apostles Creed and Morning Offering...in between wiping faces, managing sibling sparring, brushing teeth and other chores. I don't like days that work out that way, but I pray that God is pleased with my effort nonetheless.
