Someone in our local group was looking for a liturgical year calendar and I went to send her the link for LTP calendars. So I just saw the new 2012 calendar - it is beautiful. I'm so excited. You know how the art can be hit or miss each year - you never know. I want to read about the painting and the artist to see what it says. The image so reminds me of various elements of different images (OLofGrace and Guadalupe with the stars, OLo Perpetual Help for the colors and seating postures and crown)- doesn't it even remind you some of Our Lady of Alta Gracia (it is listed as Year of Grace). And all the wonderful saints around the border.

What do you all think?

I agree, Mary! I think the art is a bit like "retablo" and I cannot wait to get this one. It does remind me a bit of Our Lady of Altagracia!

This year's artwork wasn't my favorite, but the next has me all excited. And my boys saw the picture in the catalog and were pouring all over it -- so I know it will be a hit!
