I believe we're having a girl. I even have it written in my schedule to have her this Thursday, lol. (It would just be really neat to have 2 boys on October 18, and 2 girls on August 18.)
I have 'Phylicia' picked out for a first name, and had originally wanted 'Rychelle' for a second name. Dh doesn't like that one.
The other ones I like that he's okay with are:
Phylicia Dawnn
Phylicia Rose
Anyone have any other ideas?

Elizabeth

Phylicia Mary; Phylicia Christine; Phylicia Catherine; Phylicia Louise; Phylicia Clare; Phylicia Therese...
A lot probably depends on your last name, too; You know, how the Whole Thing sounds or even how it looks written out (I'm a big one on how it looks written out); whether the initials are not a great set-up - avoiding things like Alice Susannah Smith, for example.
This is a fun game...
Peace,
Nancy

I vote Rose for the Little Flower. And it sounds pretty to me. Hey, how about Therese?

I want to bawl! Now he's telling me he doesn't really like Phylicia. But he's not giving any other suggestions, either, and just says 'whatever'. (Meaning we can leave it at Phylicia.) Guess we'll see. Thanks for all the ideas, and keep 'em coming if you have any more!

Picking names is so frustrating! We still haven't agreed on a girl name for this little one. I am tempted to find out the gender next week just so I know if I need to stress about a girl name or not!

What is it about Phylicia that you like? The spelling? The P (some families do that whole 'all the children's names start with the same letter' thing--DH has cousins with D names--all 15 of them!)? Are there any names that are "right out"? Any letters/combinations of initials?
And how many syllables does your last name have?
There are so many variables to keep in mind when suggesting names...take my children for instance...of the five, only one has a name longer than 2 syllables, but all of them have 2-3 syllable middle names.
I've totally avoided the Anne/Marie/Rose middle name thing so far (except for our little Ava Maria, which is a whole 'nother kettle of fish). Are you looking for something that sounds traditional, but is spelled in an unconventional way?
Not knowing your other children's names does make it a touch harder...but I'll admit it, I am a fan of the Regency era type names (with daughters named Lily, Helena, and Sophia--with Amelia, Cecilia, Julia, and Lucy on the list waiting for their turn, lol, I'm sure you can see that).
Basically, we need more details.
LOL

It's boys names that have us stuck this time. Though we're gradually getting closer. I sometimes think that the men just don't quite get the need to have that name ready. For me it's right up there with having the car seat and the diapers and the clothes all ready to go BEFORE it's likely that I can go into labor.
So, sometimes it can help if you can address the idea of needing the name.. seperate from the name discussions.. and at a time when you're not quite as emotional as other times.. I'm not sure there's any time at the end of pregnancy that isn't emotional

Yes, I love the unconventional spelling. It just looks so pretty.
And he's willing to still have the name. He's pretty phlegmatic, so it makes it easier.
I just found out he doesn't really like our second daughter's middle name, and he never bothered to mention that at all before.
My oldest dd (who has absolutely no idea what names we're considering) said to me last night that she had a dream in which we named the baby "Abby" (which I don't think we ever would), but there were 2 middle names, and the second one began with "M". Which is quite funny and ironic, because I've been thinking "Phylicia Rose Marie". I think that's what we'll end up going with. (edited: even though she would be the only one so far with 2 middle names.)
Our other names are:
Brianna Catherine
Braydon Neil
Lenea Josephine
Justus Callen
Austin Jordan
Jader Dionysius
(eta: our last name has 3 syllables and starts with Z.)
Still have it on my schedule to have the baby today, but I think baby's itinerary is different than mine, lol.

I love all of your children's names! My dh and I had an issue with naming one of our children that didn't come up untill after he was named and a week old. Be happy you are at least talking about it now! :)
that baby comes on schedule or that you have the grace to accept that the baby may have other plans!

I wanted to give my boys three names, but DH nixed it....until I had them, named them (before he got to the hospital that day), and had sent the nurse away.
(They are John Robert and David Michael, but were going to be John Robert Paul and David Michael Patrick).

I have a Matthew Paul Robert. Long, funny story as to how he got that-long-name. And it gets longer if you know our last name-he knew his whole alphabet before kindergarten
