Hi Everyone!
It has be while since i have posted here. I don't spend as much time online as I used to. :-) It is good to be back here!

I have a question regarding used textbooks. I am researching trying to find out a replacement for Apologia Physical Science. I have found several textbook options:

Conceptual Physical Science Explorations by Paul Hewitt
CPO Foundations of Physical Science
Prentice Hall Physical Science Concepts in Action

All of those are expensive! Looking for used ones at abebooks, I found some really cheap ones 1.00 but they are old editions.How obsolete can science text get and how fast? are old textbooks ( e.g. 10 years old ) useless?

Have you used any of the above mentioned books? what components do you think I need to get? It is difficult to navigate the different components and all the different editions.
