Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I rarely watch news, but this morning DH was home and had it on. I already new of the airline banning children from First Class and I guess one has kid-free flights. However, Whole Foods is testing kid-free hours in some stores this summer .

Really? All these people say they hate bratty kids, but really, how often do I see truly, bratty kids out in public. But then again, I don't go out a lot, especially on planes or at movie theaters. People seem to be more and more irritated at the sight of a child when they want some time to peruse organic produce without any inconvenience.

Maybe Whole Foods is doing this to help all us mothers, but my gut instict is that children are welcome only a few places.

I clicked all the way through to the source document for this CafeMom piece, and it looks like what's really happening is that Whole Foods is offering child care for two hours so parents can shop "child-free." (Kind of like what IKEA offers in my area...a place to play, activities and adults in charge...)

We have a store 2 hours from us and while I was shopping, my 2 year old, standing next to my cart was testing pieces of cheese out of the bin, unknown to me.

Well, she had good and EXPENSIVE tastes! So we ended up buying the cheese she sampled to the tune of about $30.

Could have used a sitter that day

Blesssings,
Stephanie
