Offer up a prayer of thanksgiving for our great news this past week.....Pete does NOT need surgery right now on his palate like they had previously told us. After scoping his palate, they see it is sufficient, and his speech issues are, they think, treatable with intensive speech therapy. OH MY!!! For the first time in ten years, our family does not have some big surgery or procedure hanging over our heads. The cleft team said they do not need to see the kids until NEXT MAY.....uh? I am still digesting all of this, it has been so long since we have been in this spot....I am so, so grateful!!! We were preparing for this arduous palate repair with lengthy hospital stay for the Fall, and now.....oh, school!!! I need to think about SCHOOL now!!   How lovely is that, Friends?? We can plan things like Cub Scouts for Pete (first time for him) and swimming lessons, and maybe a trip back home for the weekend....and...and....life!!!  
So, we do have a bit of tooth pulling today for young Master Pete....just three baby teeth, but wee prayers for his anxiety to stay at bay would be appreciated.
God is so good....thanks for your prayers....you all have carried us through quite a bit, and I am always grateful for your friendship and prayers. 
ps--I LOVE the dancing banana...seriously love it!
