Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just love her!

I love her spontaneity and her very (not) exact kitchen techniques. You just have to smile to watch her.

I just watched one of her Feasts and Seasons programs for summer on EWTN online. She spoke about the Saints James and Anne, the traditions in and outside of the kitchen.

Today, she really cracked me up. She was talking about the holidays and people making excuses while on vacation and not attending Holy Mass on Sundays...
Her response:

"GET A LIFE!"

I had to laugh out loud

Anyone else enjoy her show or books???

Yes! She is wonderful! And she lives just down the road from where we are. I would so like to meet her. I know someone who works with her on occassion. I keep hoping he will ask me to go with him to "help out," but that has not happened yet!

I love her blog! (I love just about anything British!) My grandfather was from England, and I love when I read her writing, it's almost like hearing the occasional turn of words and accent of my grandfather. Does that seem weird?

I have been dvr'ing her, also.

Carole, how fun! Oh, you should see about getting involved with her caroling group at Christmas. She seems to write about it every year. Couldn't you just sneak in with the rest of the crowd?

In Christ,

Well, I am not that close to where she lives. More like I live in Wales and she lives in London about four hours from where we are. But the Catholic community is small and I keep hoping I will have an opportunity to meet her.

Her special on EWTN is Feasts and Seasons -- delightful shows!!! They are based on her books, Book of Feasts and Seasons and A Yearbook of Seasons and Celebrations, which are wonderful, also.

Carole, do you follow her blog? Sometimes she writes ahead of time where she is appearing. I would want to see and meet her, too!

Jenn, I just discovered her blog yesterday! It is amazing. You know that you are part of the reason I know about Joanna Bogle as it was you who first introduced me to her. Then I saw her on EWTN and loved her even more.
