No, not mine...my best friend's.

She has been planning this event since her wedding day...25 years ago. All her wedding plans fell through and so she decided that at year 25, they'd have a vow renewal ceremony, reception, etc. Much careful planning has gone into this. The ceremony is two weeks away.

Today she found out that the cousin who was supposed to (and agreed to) look after her 88-year-old mother (who has a tendency to wind up in the hospital, need emergency surgery, etc. during holidays and other big-event, stressful times)...isn't coming. And didn't tell her in time for a backup caregiver (and ER buddy, should one be necessary) to be recruited. My friend is beside herself.

Please pray that everything goes well, and that my friend's mom (who is a lovely, lovely person, but oh so frail) remains in good health for the next couple of weeks.
