I hope this doesn't seem a frivolous prayer request but it is weighing heavy on me. We live in a cul-de-sac and are a pretty close group of neighbors. Two dear friends will be moving this Summer and each family has children that my children play with and we socialize with quite regularly. One family will be moving out of state and is having an emotional time themselves so if you could pray for their peace.
Also, we pray for new neighbors. I honestly don't know what to pray for on this front as anything I come up with seems somewhat self-serving so anything you can offer would be appreciated.

I don't find it self-serving at all, Kathryn. Who you live by is very important in the development and safety of your children, physically and spiritually. You just mentioned how attached your children were to the current neighborhood children, so they obviously made an impact in their lives. So, I think it is a very important prayer, esp. if you live so closely to them. They almost become, in a way, a part of the family! And, a part of the family you don't have a lot of control over. So, I think asking God to send you holy neighbors with good and holy children for your children is a very good idea. Prayers going up!

Oh this isn't a frivolous prayer request!!! Our next-door neighbors and our "backyard" neighbors both moved this past year.  Both neighbors were elderly and moving to condos. Our new next-door neighbors are very quiet and shy newlyweds (very cute!)  Our backyard neighbors seem nice, but have a very loud baying beagle and another very barky dog. 
I will pray for good and kind neighbors for you!!!

We are getting new neighbors very soon and I am praying for this as well! Neighbors are such an important part of our life. Sending prayers up for your request!

Who we are surrounded by is so very important - and for better or for worse, neighbors influence one another. We recently lost some very dear friends who lived next door, and although the people who moved in are nice ... it's not the same. Praying for you!

I have cont'd praying. I even told the one family that I'm going to sprinkle their entire house with holy water!!
