Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was just wondering if you all say "amongst women" or "among women." I have always said "amongst women," but have heard most people saying "among women." I am not sure if it was because my grandmother was from Europe and that is where I learned the prayer or if they have just simplified the language. I have taught my kids "amongst women" so I was just wondering which version you use!

Amongst if using the version with Thee and "art Thou" and Thy and amongst.

Among if using the version that is you and "are you" and your and among.

Wow, I have never really thought about this. I totally use all the old school words, including "amongst".

This got me thinking,
I use 'among'. and I use ''Art Thou'' as well.

Interesting thread

I think I do that, too, but I'll have to pay special attention the next time I say it. When I try to say it right now I am too conscious of it to know whether it is the natural way I say it or not.
