Please you all keep in your prayers my dear sister-in-law, Sherry, who was admitted to the hospital day before yesterday for food poisoning, only to discover a large baseball-to-softball size growth on her kidney. Tests still forthcoming. Needless to say, we are very, very worried.
Thanks, Kelly in FL

I am praying it's not serious...but what a blessing for her to have food poisoning to find out this other problem. I hope she's feeling better in that department...

Thank you all for your prayers. My brother calls them "Turbo Prayers" Do keep them coming, though. Thanks be to God, so far, bone scans and scans of other organs have come back clean. Still awaiting some tests and recommendations from M.D. Anderson. She's doing much better from the food poisoning, and home just today.
Thank you again for your prayers. She and my brother thank you so much for lifting them up in prayer. I'll keep you posted.

Praying, Kelly. MD Anderson has a great reputation, so she should be in good hands.

Thanks all for the continued prayers. A quick and so-far, happy, update. My sil "tested clean" for all her tests, no signs of any ominous spreading prior to surgury to remove the growth. The surgury was done last week, very tricky, growth on her kidney was the size of a VOLLEYBALL! This is on a skinny gal, too! Anyway, they took the kidney and growth out, no sign of any involvement elsewhere, and they're still waiting to find out if the growth was benign (probably not, but possibly!!!). Sil had to go back for more surgury due to internal bleeding, and has had a very painful week of minimal medication due to dropping blood pressure issues, but thanks be to God, now stablized and home. On the whole, a great so-far report.
Thank you all for your prayers. This sil of mine is a wonderful gal, though not very sympathetic to our Catholic faith (many, many in-house discussions on the subject that have not been very favorable, despite my anxious apologetics, alas ...) Anyway, she and her dh, my brother, have both been VERY appreciative of the prayers coming from you all, you who don't even know them. Maybe these prayers will have an evangelical effect, too!
Thanks again, Kelly in FL
