My doctor suggested I try compression hose due to my frequent dizzy spells(not pregnancy related). I've started looking. I had no idea there were so many different kinds. Does anyone use them or have any advice?

oh there's some recommended around here.. the thread was on varicose veins and pregnancy..

Oh yes, multiple threads - popular topic. These mostly relate to varicose veins as Jodie mentioned but there are lots of recommendations for good brands.

The people at For Your Legs are very, very helpful!
Also, Ames Walker people are very helpful and if you're paying for these hose yourself, it's good to consider their brand to see if "less expensive" will work for you.
And, you'll learn a lot reading through those threads too.

Just my $.02, but I found the Ames Walker dreadfully constricting. I still can't wear the maternity ones I bought and I am 5 months postpartum!
My preferred brand is Jobst. They are the most comfortable while offering good support. I usually get them from For Your Legs.
Thigh highs can work well too. You would need to buy the "glue" that they sell to keep them up. But I appreciated getting a break from the full length hose sometimes.

I went to my local pharmacy in hopes that they would be able to submit my paperwork for reimbursemnt, they can't. I purchased from them anyway. The only brand they carried was Loving Comfort.
I have nothing to compare them to yet. I guess they are ok.
I picked a knee high, a thigh high and full hose. I really need go back to see if they carry the glue. Those thigh high won't stay put.
