Please pray for a good longtime friend of my husband's who was killed in a horrific accident while on duty in the National Guard. His name was Steven. He was driving a hummer second in a row of them down to Montgomery (for those of familiar with the area it was around Lacey Springs) when a driver in a SUV in the other lane suffered a seizure, clipped the mirror of the first hummer and hit his hummer head-on. He was driving and our understanding is the hummer actually drove over the driver's side of the SUV killing the driver instantly and somehow Steven's seat detached and shot him out the window. I won't describe how they found him, but he died in the hospital Saturday morning. Please pray for his family and friends and the driver of the other vehicle's family, too. The funeral is tonight. Also, there is some talk that the seat detachment is a known defect with the paticular hummer he was driving and if that is the case it obviously hasn't been fixed in all the hummers. Please pray that if it is that it's repaired in the remaining ones so no more of our servicemen die like this.

A friend of my cousin died in a Hummer accident while training with the National Guard. I will definitely send prayers. I hate it when any servicemen die, especially when they aren't in combat.

I am so sorry. Praying for the repose of the souls of these two men and for strength and comfort for all of the families and people involved. Also for the hummer problem to be fixed.
