Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am going to be studying Native Americans this coming week in our tour around the world. I would love a simple craft project to do or a nice recipe. This would need to be appropriate for K and pre-K children. Thanks!

A really easy thing to do is make clay pots and paint them. We did that for an activity this year.

Another is sand painting - let them make a design with glue on cardboard or heavy paper, then pour colored sand over top. You can repeat the glue and add new colors.

I love the sand painting idea. Where do you buy the colored sand?

Michaels or even Walmart should have it - it's normally in the kids crafts sections.

What about corn husk dolls? You can even buy kits for that, or leather headbands kits. Emmanuel Books used to sell them.
