I don't know who it was that originally mentioned that they use this BibleDKIllustrated Family Bible
but I ordered it and just got it yesterday. What a fantastic, wonderful, amazing book! We spent the longest time just browsing through it looking at the pictures, which prompted ds to ask to read many of the stories to go along. I KNOW the Bible is wonderful as is, but this truly has turned the Bible into a living book for all of us. We can't wait to read more today!The illustrations are great, but the best thing about it are the photos of the actual places where the scenes took place, and artifacts from biblical times. And the little historical side notes added on, like it explained why "Do unto others.." is called the "Golden Rule", which I never knew before. It is truly the Bible I have been praying for and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
