Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My husband treated me to an iphone when I upgraded my mobile phone and I have been looking for apps. Does anyone have any favourites to recommend - Catholic themed or indeed any great ones?

Just a disclaimer all of these apps were downloaded because someone else recommended them on this forum

Ipieta

ibreviary TS ( its in 4 languages just change over to English)

Search Audiobooks and there are 2 or 3 really good free ones.

My favorite Rosary one is the Holy Rosary by ebsolutions

The Stations of the Cross by Ave Maria press is great. (it is the scriptural rosary)

Just a few, search apps and you will find old threads too!

I'm an alumni of Franciscan University of Steubenville, and I just read in their alumni magazine about an app for Confession that was designed by FUS students. It was rated #17 in downloaded ipod apps at one point.

My favorites include:
iPieta- a great app that features the Douai Rheims Bible text in Latin, English, or interlinear or side-by-side Latin-Eng. plus the Haydock commentary. Also has a fantastic collection of prayers, writings of the saints, papal encyclicals through JPII, Church documents. The N.O. And Traditional calendar as well as the readings for the day for both N.O. And Trad.

iBreviaryPro or iUniversalis- both of these are the breviary in the current English form, slightly different translations. IUniversalis is good for areas where service is spotty, as it all downloads at once. Both have the daily readings, with iBreviary having also the Mass antiphons and prayers. IBreviary has the language options of Eng., Italian, French, Latin, and the Ambrosian rite. Maybe Spanish, too? Universalis offers Greek.

Breviarium Meum- a Latin/English breviary app of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate

Thank you Caroline,

I will have a good look at these in the morning.

The ipieta sounds good, as do the others

My favourite is iMissal. It has each day's readings, various prayers, and a short 'daily bread' reading. I also love Saint a Day, by the same people (there is the option to buy this one through iMissal).
Have fun!

iPieta

Rosary

Catholic - trivia quizzes

Mass Times

iCatholicfm

Lately I have been enjoying YouTube more than apps. I have many YouTube videos saved in my favorites. I don't always watch them. I listen to them. E.g. Holy SPirit Novena
Also I set a 12:00 and a 3:00 alarm for sc and me to pray.
I love the chanted Divine Mercy chaplet.

I also love the Regina ceali

Sorry I dint know how to create hyperlinks from my iPhone!
