Please pray for the health of my friend's grandson, Walter.

He was brought to the emergency room yesterday and was checked into the hospital because the oxygen level in his blood is very low, his lips are blue and the fear is that there may be some kind of congenital heart defect.
They have already run a number of tests (for heart problems and other things, such as acid reflux and "RSV") but so far nothing obvious has been isolated as a cause for the problem.

Please also pray for a clear and correct diagnosis.

Robin said that they will probably release him today because his vital signs are good. They have been advised by "friends in the medical profession" to consult a pediatric cardiologist. If anyone has any other information/ideas to help, please let me know.

Walter was discharged from the hospital today. None of the tests on his heart indicated any serious problem, so, by a process of elimination, he is being treated for acid-reflux which apparently can also cause this type of symptom. Let us hope and pray that this turns out to be a correct diagnosis.

Jen, this is wonderful news! Not to downplay acid-reflux; that's a distressing ailment for a baby, but Thank God it was not something life-threatening.

Prayers continuing ... we went through reflux with my oldest ... it is hard, but thank the Lord they are dealing with something treatable, but still a cross, esp. when severe ....
