Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm looking for a list of picture books or chapter books to reinforce a sense of modesty and purity in young girls. Thanks for any help at all.

I don't know how old your girls are, but my 9 year old has The Princess and the Kiss and The Princess and the Three Knights. Both are pictures books. She enjoys them, but I'm not sure if that's exactly what you are looking for.

I was considering the All Things Girl series, but read such bad reviews of it. I am determined to make this an ongoing study/discussion because there are issues in our blended family, and also because the values and morals in the homes of my childrens extended visitations are in direct opposition with the virtues I would like to instill in my children. I plan to read about Our Lady of Fatima and Francisco and Jacinta, too. Has anyone come across/made out a lesson plan on these virtues?

Robin, you might do a search HERE for All Things Girl. From what I've gotten it really depends on how much your girls are sheltered if they're appropriate or not. Do the search on All Things Girl and check the "phrase" box and it'll pull up some good threads (I'm about to run out the door so I don't have time to link them for you)
