We are looking at public speaking and debate instruction options locally. I would like to find out more about the Toastmasters Int'l. Youth Leadership Program . I know that Erica's daughters have been involved in a group there but don't know the details of how it works. I'll make sure she sees this to join in the conversation. But has anyone else done this program with their students? I' like to here about it.

My dad was in Toastmaster for many years from the time I was a little girl, and found it a value tool for helping him with public speaking. When I was a senior in high school he took me to meetings. High school students were encouraged to join that particular group. There were a couple of my classmates in the group as well. It was a good experience and think help prepare us for basic public speaking.   So I have fond memories of the program and since they now have a specific program for youth/teens was wondering about it as an option. It seems like it would be a good deal - all materials are provided and the format and instruction are already laid out.

Any thoughts?
