Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Anyone have a good, tried and true, easy coffee cake recipe? I need to bring one this Saturday.

I'm looking for something that has a crumb topping, icing, and some filling flavor.

And moist.

Recipes, anyone?

I haven't made it in years (mainly because it's just too yummy and full of sugar and white flour), but Bisquick used to have a very good streusel coffee cake recipe right on the box. Couldn't be easier! Yum, I'd like to have a piece right now!

I always, always use this coffee cake recipe. It doesn't have icing, but you could work out a glaze quite easily with vanilla and icing sugar and cream or water.

I didn't find exactly what I wanted...I think I wanted more of a yeasty type. But I did find something absolutely scrumptious, and Carole says she makes this for her Christmas morning breakfast. Yes, it's that good.

I make one like the bisquick one.. just use a muffin recipe and a streusal.. then layer it and swirl and bake.
