I just starting drinking coffee this past Fall. Starbucks is sort of intimidating to me Ive been ordering a "tall peppermint mocha"for months. I love it! but I'd love to know what else might be good.
got any suggestions???

The only reason I go to Starbucks is to take my 4yo on our special dates for their CHOCOLATE STUFFED BROWNIES!!
Oh...drinks.... ok...I'll have to try something suggested while we are there. lol

Tall, decaf mocha, no whip. In the summer I make it a frapp, usually with whip. I wonder if they've changed their whip though, it seems "fattier" the last few times I've had it. I'm with you, Kacky--too many choices is intimidating!

Occasionally I'll do whip for indulgence, but this is my stand-by order. But I think I prefer Dunkin' Donuts for a cup of coffee.

I have a Latte or a tea Latte- I have 1/2 the sweetner (or 1/3) and mix it up from week to week, and then I may have whip cream on it if I am feeling like a treat! If you like tea then their Earl Grey Tea Latte is also very yummy as is their Chai tea Latte (this is usually what I get as I am not a coffee person!)
I actually work at Starbucks a couple small shifts a week and still find ordering imposing!!

It varies. I do like a mocha, but one of my favorites is a Caramel Macchiatto.

I don't like coffee. The bitter comes through no matter what you add. I go for a hot chocolate soy milk. MMmmmmmmm!!!

They used to serve a chocolate-orange coffee that wasn't on the menu. Divine. They got rid of their orange syrup, though, and nothing else is quite as good. I like going in the fall for gingerbread or pumpkin spice lattes. Yum. The carmel macchiato and white chocolate mochas are ok. Looks like the peppermint comes in mocha and white chocolate. I think I tried the mocha. I'll have to try the white chocolate version.

You know I can't have coffee of any variety.. so what do you order other than a regular hot cocoa if you can't have coffee??
My mom and sister drink coffee.. and while we don't have a starbucks anywhere near close.. there are other coffee shops.
Though in the summer I can get an italian cream soda from at least the nice place with comfy chairs to sit and visit at.

The caramel macchiatto and peppermint mocha are my favorite sweet drinks. I like a tall coffee frap in the summer.
I am a fan of their regular drip coffee as well (usually decaf french roast), with cream.

I'm a mocha girl. If I only have one or two children along I will buy them a kid's hot chocolate - smaller, not so hot and cheaper than the adult version. They realize that's a real treat!

Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte with 2 (or more) extra-shots of expresso!
I only get one a few times in the fall, after they start having the Pumkin Spice Latte's again.
Seriously, it is hard to pay over $5.00 for a cup of coffee more than a couple times a year

Someone mentioned chai tea above. It is really very tasty, though, I actually prefer my own made at home because the Starbucks version is a little sweet for me. You can also get it iced in the warmer months.
I think they have a few tea varieties as well, maybe some herbals as well as black?

I just recently discovered I like the chai latte. I generally don't like black tea but this is spicy, pepper spicy maybe?, and I love it. I tried to make it at home because I do with less sugar, but I can't get it ti taste the same.
For coffee...white chocolate peppermint latte for a giant treat, vanilla bean frap (skim no whip) for a caffeine free treat. Cin dolce or caramel nonfat decaf latte for when I want a fun coffee but not a treat;)

Do they still have a vanilla rooibos latte? I had that (whatever it is called) once and it was good.

The vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte is great as well- you can also have a Chai tea latte just made with the tea bag instead of the syrup base. You can have them both half sweet as well (Oh my, I sound like I am getting a commission )!
