Please pray for my husband as he takes command tomorrow of a hardworking group of military and civilian professionals. May Our Lord's example lead him to make the best possible decisions for the well-being of his command personnel and for the safety and security of our nation. May the example of the Holy Family inspire me and our beloved children to support him and pray for him always. We are so thankful for this opportunity, which allows my dedicated husband to continue to serve our country and permits our family to stay in the same place for more time than we'd ever dreamed of.
St. Elmo/Sant' Erasmo, patron of sailors, pray for us.
St. Joseph, patron of workers and fathers, pray for us.
Blessed Mother, Star of the Sea, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Immaculate Conception, Patroness of the Americas, pray for us.

Praying that God will give your husband the wisdom and insight he needs in his new post. I want to take a moment here, too, to thank him and you for serving our country faithfully. We had a lovely and busy day. Thanks for the prayers...I was so grateful to be able to relax and really enjoy seeing my husband do what he does best - he's a talented speech writer and public speaker, and he's a great leader as well. Friends came from near and far to share the day with him and the outgoing CO, which was just wonderful. My MIL had a great time - she misses my FIL and the busy social life they shared, so it was a treat to see her mingling and enjoying herself.
God has blessed us with so many things...days like today really bring that lesson home.
