Just asking for prayers that my dh and I can get on the same page. He is starting to talk about putting the kids in school because our close friends (whose kids are our kid's best friends) have decided to enroll their kids. I am adamantly opposed to it, even hurt that he would be talking like this. It's causing division and I need to seek God's guidance and trust.
Please pray for us that we would seek God's will in this and not allow our own stubbornness to cause division.

Praying, Becky, that God will work powerfully, through the grace of Holy Matrimony, to bring about united discernment between you and your dh. We have watched many families and friends come and go in our homeschooling journey...ultimately, through much prayer, and struggles at times, we have always returned to our own personal reasons for doing what we do and what we have discerned is God's most Holy Will for our individual family. It can be very difficult when close friends go in a totally different direction, sometimes at seemingly drastic, abrupt speed...our children have been thrown for a loop at times, feeling like a rug has been yanked out from under them...ultimately, we always return to our family's central and core focus. Praying God will guide you and dh to just such a point for your own family, whatever that may be. Adoration and the Holy Spirit Novena can be most helpful at times like this.

The change in circumstances of your close friends has obviously brought to the surface unresolved feelings. Praying for peace Becky as you navigate your way through this as a couple. God bless you as you strive to solve this matter with the best of intentions. Perhaps the dust just needs to settle a little bit. I'll be praying for you.

Thank you all for your prayers. I was in such a funk yesterday. We haven't talked any more about it, but I feel more peaceful and I know it is from all your prayers! My husband is such a good, prayerful man. I was thinking about when Joseph was told in a dream that he and Mary had to move to Egypt. I'm sure Mary didn't question but I sure would have! I have to trust my husband though. He's never steared (steered?) us wrong so far. I'm really hoping God isn't changing our course so the kids end up going to school ... but I guess that is what we will do if indeed this is His call for us now. I just can't imagine why...
