Dear friends~

Please pray for little baby Jacob. He is the 5 day old son of friends of ours--devout, lovely, young Catholics. He was born with diaphragmatic hernia, which is where the intestines came out of his diaphragm and grew into his lungs while he was growing in utero. One of his lungs is smaller than the other, and the intestines are putting pressure on one of the main arteries of the heart...from what I am told, the surgery itself is a catch-22 situation.

He is finally stable enough to have surgery this afternoon at 1:30pm. Please beg Our Lady of Lourdes to spare the life of this little one.   

His parents have suffered two losses prior to him, and he is their first born to them on earth.
